The best way to know if a school is a “right college fit” for you is to visit the school and to stay at the school. Colleges are beginning to post their spring semester and summer programs/visitation schedules. This is a great time to really get an inside look as to what the school is all about.

  • Vanderbilt University hosts “Black and Gold Days” for juniors in the spring.
  • The University of Texas is hosting an “Encounter with Engineering” for high school females who enjoy the sciences and math on February 11th.
  • The University of Colorado at Boulder is hosting a “CU-Boulder Summer Sampler” on July 14th which provides a full day of activities for rising seniors.
  • Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, offers an “Individual Experience Day” and Baylor University in Waco, Texas, will tailor college visits for interested college bound students.

Visiting a campus, talking to other students, talking to the professors, and getting to know their college admissions rep for your area will help solidify where you will best resonate as a college student. The time is now to get signed up for a closer view!
